Britain's premier elite men’s race will pass through Farnsfield, Nottinghamshire on Friday, Sept. 6. The quiet Main Street should be a stampede of cyclists.
Also, on a walk through the village I came across an endearing crochet remembrance of a WW II tragedy involving British and Canadian airmen (3 photos).
The village has been sporting yellow bicycles (à la Tour de France) since we arrived last week. Too bad we'll depart one day before the race. C'est la vie.
