To celebrate Canada Day, July 1, 2017 — the nation's 150th birthday — Halton Hills, Ontario challenged itself to be "the most patriotic town" by flying as many flags as possible. Each flag was registered at the time of purchase, to be displayed in yards, flower pots and businesses, on fences, cars and the streets — anywhere you could stick a flag. The final count of 57,073 flags was beyond everyone's wildest dreams.
Way to go Haltonians!
